A Litle More About Our Swimathon.
Last year, the YMCA Swimathon raised over three hundred thousand dollars nationally, and just over $8,000 was raised right here by staff at Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre.
With the money raised, we purchased a pool hoist and change table for the ambulant family change room. More Swim Teachers undertook specialised training through Aus Swim, enabling them to understand needs of people with disabilities who participate in swimming lessons.
This could not have happened without the support and kindness of local businesses and community.
